Control of Inclusions in 49MnVS3 Non-Quenched and Tempered Steel by Mg Treatment

To explore the effect of different Mg contents on morphology, composition, distribution, and deformation sulfides in 49MnVS3 non-quenched tem-pered steel, inclusions were observed counted by Zeiss metallographic microscope scanning electron microscope, com-pressed samples compared Gleeble-3500 thermal simulation test ma-chine. Results showed that size sulfide steel decreases distri-bution uniformity are significantly improved with increase content. The proportion composite increases obviously, individual MnS decreases. composition included core is accordance principle Al2O3 → + MgO·Al2O3 MgO MgS. After Gleeble compression, aspect ratio decreases, spindle h significantly.
